Meet the Chaplains

Fr Dushan Croos SJ

An alumnus of the University of Manchester, Fr Dushan joined the Chaplaincy team in September 2023, as the lead Chaplain, after working with Young Adults in London and other University and school Chaplaincies.

Fr Paul Fletcher SJ

Fr Paul joined our Chaplaincy team at the beginning of 2024. Deaf since birth, Paullipreads and is a native BSL signer having been to Boston Spa residential school for Deaf. “I use hearing aids as a ‘radar’. Entered SJs in 1988 after brief 5yr career as college librarian. Now resident in Manchester I look forward to meeting our studentsand staff - just make sure I’m looking at your face/lips BEFORE you start speaking!”  

Sr Alicia Pérez FCJ

Sr Alicia is a Sister Faithful Companion of Jesus (FCJ) from Spain and has lived and worked for long periods in the USA and Argentina, mostly teaching computer science, AI, and machine learning at various universities. Since 2017 she has been a university chaplain here Manchester. She is delighted to interact with uni students and support their quest for God, their growth in faith, and their human and academic development. She feels that a very important part of her job is to make the Chaplaincy a welcoming place for all.  

Fr Phil Harrison SJ

Fr Phil is a Jesuit (the SJ after his name gives it away) and a priest, trained in Biblical Studies. His Lemon Drizzle Cake is also legendary!    

Adam Brocklehurst

Our Chaplaincy receptionist Adam is a part time local historian and theologian, in his free time he likes to undertake pilgrimages, his most recent being the Camino Santiago De Compostela.
